Can I extend my 30-day evaluation period for Robo-FTP Server?

Introduction

If your 30-day evaluation license has expired but you still need more time to complete your evaluation, then you may request a 30-day evaluation extension. This is a simple two part process. You must first submit some information generated by your installation of Robo-FTP Server. In return, we will send you a site key which you will enter into the software to unlock it for an additional 30 days.

This short tutorial walks you through the steps involved in this process.

NOTE: This tutorial applies to Robo-FTP Server v3.1.0. The steps may vary for older or newer versions.

Submitting a site key request

Launch the main Robo-FTP Server administration window and click the Licensing... button.

Choose the option to submit a license activation request and click OK.

Complete and submit the activation request form. Leave the serial number as *EVAL* and be sure to enter "Evaluation extension request" in the Details field.

There are a few options at this point. Select the option that applies to your situation. This tutorial will show the steps for submitting an e-mail request from the same machine that has Robo-FTP Server installed. The steps will be similar for the other options.

Robo-FTP Server will confirm that you want to continue and then generate an outgoing e-mail with your default e-mail client. Simply send the e-mail and we will process your request as soon as we receive your e-mail.

Entering the evaluation site key

You will receive your 30-day evaluation site key by e-mail. You must enter this site key into Robo-FTP Server to unlock it and extend your evaluation period by another 30 days.

To enter the site key, you will complete some of the same steps as before when requesting the site key:

This time, instead of choosing to submit a request, select the option to enter a license activation site key.

Copy and paste the site key you received by e-mail into the Site Key field and click Activate. You should now be licensed for an additional 30 days.
