One of my users tried to set up public key authentication. After the user created an /.ssh folder and placing a key in that folder, it still does not work. How do I set up public key authentication access for a user?

For ftp servers running on Windows, setting up public key authentication is a little different. The user will need to send you their public key.

Once you have received the key, go to the client Administration tab.

Enter the Client Properties for a that user, or create a new user profile for them if they do not already have one.

Click on the Manage SSH Public Keys.

On the SSH Public Keys dialogue, you can add and remove keys for this user. Note that if several user accounts have the same public key for some reason, you will need to use Manage SSH Public Keys for each user account.
