Robo-FTP does not appear to work reliably when connecting to the FileZilla FTP Server.
There are known issues with Robo-FTP in "standard FTP mode" when the FileZilla FTP Server is used. The solution is to use "alternate FTP mode" (or AltFTP) when using Robo-FTP to log onto the FileZilla server. Alternate FTP mode can be selected when managing the site or by adding the /servertype=altftp option to the FTPLOGON command.
